¡Que Viva! Artes is an invitational exhibition continuing Taos’ important artistic legacy and multicultural history. ¡Que Viva Artes! brings together dozens of leading artists working in a variety of media, collectively telling a holistic story of Taos. A selection of Taos and Taos County artists were invited to submit work for the exhibition and sale in Couse-Sharp Historic Site’s Dean Porter Gallery and online to regional and national collectors.

Artistic traditions in the Taos area reach back over millennia, beginning with the Indigenous communities, then the Spanish settlers, followed by Anglo settlers. When the Taos Society of Artists founded an art colony here more than a hundred years ago, they dedicated themselves to developing a uniquely American art. That creative community is alive and well, as demonstrated by the diversity and breadth of artistic traditions of the people who call Taos Valley home.

The contemporary artwork in ¡Que Viva! Artes and within the Timeless Turns exhibition will be available initially to those attending in person during opening weekend, June 7–8, 2025. Beginning June 10, remaining artwork will be offered to remote buyers, as well as those visiting the galleries June 11–14 and 17–18. Any artwork not yet sold upon closure of the Dean Porter Gallery exhibition will remain for sale online through the summer.

Prices are set by the artists, who have generously agreed to donate a portion of the proceeds to benefit Couse-Sharp Historic Site.
